Australia`s regional trade policy aims to build on the objectives and benefits of multilateral trade and investment liberalization and to defend and protect Australia`s interests in a wide range of regional forums. This significantly complements Australia`s multilateral and bilateral political activities and objectives. It`s also worthless that Australia wants to improve its trade relations with the EU – both sides have been negotiating a free trade agreement since 2018. attaches great importance to negotiations with potential WTO members to improve access for Australian services exporters, particularly in the areas of financial services, telecommunications and professional services. At the multilateral level, one of the main objectives of Australia`s trade policy is to improve market access and create a fairer global trading environment through the WTO, which is important for Australia, given that it is the main forum for global trade liberalization. Through its rules and disciplines, the WTO provides a more predictable and transparent environment for business, as well as a means of resolving disputes.
